Horse Poetry

Only a breath away

“Within the warmth of my horse’s breath, I will find the air that I need to live today, I will find the wind to fly to the heights of my dreams and I will find the one I am meant to be. ”

The hooves of horses!

Oh! witching and sweet Is the music earth steals from the iron-shod feet;
No whisper of lover, no trilling of bird,
Can stir me as much as hooves of horses Have stirred. ~Will H. Ogilvie

The Possibilities

Oh the beauty I see
I feel as if you are an extension
of everything that is within me
You are my path
You are the boundaries of my soul
It is not for the love I feel
It would stop the beats of my heart

From the moment that time began
Your beauty never has been denied
Your spender brings fourth
The beauty within all mankind
God gave you to us
To remind us of all that could ever
……………………………………………..possibly be

bound by love forever we will be

Your tears in my mane I forever hide
I listen to the silence your fears inside
Tell words you can not say anywhere else
For I know about you love for me
More than life, more than self
bound by love forever we will be

Now lay your head upon my shoulders
My love again consume your heart
Climb on my back, take me for a ride
As I join the visions of your dreams
bound by love forever we will be

As we ride and the wind flies by
Clean the day’s dust from our soul
Bonded together, spirits refreshed
Listen to the sounds, of the breaths I take
The thunder of feet dance upon the ground
bound by love forever we will be

Feel us moving, as one together
In this moment nothing else matters.
Tell me your fears and tell me your dreams
I will keep them held tight, until you’re strong
Let your nights haunting, turn to daydreams with me.
bound by love forever we will be

Rides over grass, prairie and snow covered ground
Hardened world left far behind
Lost in loneliness you will no longer feel
nor yearning for love of lost family n’friends
As miracle of one life complete we will make
bound by love forever we will be

bound by love forever we will be

Young horse lover

the greatest love

I am a Cowgirl, and I can fly without wings.
I just climb on my favorite stead, and close my eyes.
I know he will take me to places I have never been.

I may not have been to Congress or to World
But I know that, it is within my horse’s heart
guided my the eyes of the lord.
We are the greatest love there has ever been.

I’m a Barrel Racer Lord

A quick time is all that I need
Just to turn these three barrels with a descent amount of speed
I’ve hauled a lot of miles, to run this horse of mine.
To Make each barrel race and then load for down the line
If it’s a spill that I take, please Lord keep the dirt super soft.

For another run I’ll make, just as soon as I dust myself off.
My chin I’ll keep it up and my tears I’ll try to hide.
Then I’ll climb back in the saddle ever anxious for my nest ride
With heart and will in hand to win or lose with grace

For some other Cowgirl will want to win this same barrel race
So let us ride as one Lord, my horse and me
For hard work and perseverance, I believe it the needed key
We’ve trained and we’ve worked hard and if I win, you know of course

To you I’ll give the glory to you and to my Horse.

I am a huge fan, to those who run the Cans

Dearest Creator in Heaven,

Give me strength to guide my horse.
Make my hands soft and my head clear.
Let my horse understand me and I him.
My heart you have blessed with a special love of these animals.
Let me never lose sight of it.
My soul you have gifted with a deep need for them.
Let that need never lessen.
Always let my breath catch as the sun gleams on an elegant head.
Always may my throat tighten at the sound of a gentle nicker.
Let the scent of fresh hay and a new bag of grain be sweet to me.
Let the touch of a warm nose on my hand always bring a smile.
I adore the joy of a warm day on the farm.
The grace and splendor of a running horse,
The thunder of its hooves makes my eyes burn and my heart soar.
Let it always be so.
