Got Oats

Daily Oats: Food for the Horse lovers Soul

How many times have you heard “When one door closes another opens”  However, the problem arrives when  we look so long, so regretfully upon the closed door that we fail to see the one that has opened for us.

How lucky we are as horseman and women that we can open our barn door every morning and see all the possibilities that we can  ever imagined.

Each morning, gives us a fresh new beginning to leave yesterday behind.   That is certainly what our horses do.  Can you  ever imagine you horse saying to you:  I am tired of just having oats. That is the exact same thing we had yesterday!

Or how about “I did so bad at that jump yesterday, I am not going to do it today, and you can’t make me”   Well, perhaps sometimes they do say that, but is not because they regret part of their life from yesterday.  That is only  a characteristic of us humans.

Thankful to us, that every day is new too them.

For today,  let you mind take you where you want to go, and not where you have been.   Enjoy the oats in your life, just like your horse, as if it is the first time you ever have tasted them.

Look forward and enjoy you life, and especially  start with the day.

Remember: Be the whinny
